WOMAN JAILED FOR WARRANT, CITED AFTER DOG IS TASED

A Roseburg woman was jailed for a warrant and cited after Roseburg Police had to deploy a taser on one of her dogs Wednesday morning.

The RPD report said just after 11:30 a.m. officers visited the woman’s travel trailer parked in the yard of a residence in the 1800 block of Southeast Giles Street to check on city compliance issues. There were two dogs running around the area and out into the street. One of the dogs was fairly aggressive and lunged at an officer in an aggressive manner, so it was tased.

Once the resident heard the dog yelping, she exited the trailer, retrieved the animal and brought it inside the trailer. A records check revealed that was a DCSO arrest warrant out for the woman.

She was detained for the warrant and given two citations for dog leash law violations. Bail was set at $2,475. The woman was released later in the day.
