Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged forgery on Friday.

An RPD report said at 2:00 p.m. officers contacted 27-year old Ryan Humphrey at a credit union in the 1700 block of Northeast Stephens Street after employees said the man was attempting to pass a fraudulent check. Humphrey was charged with first-degree theft, second-degree forgery, identity theft, criminal conspiracy, and criminal possession of a forged instrument. Humphrey was held without bail.
