MYRTLE CREEK MAN JAILED FOR ALLEGED MENACING INCIDENT

Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a Myrtle Creek man following an alleged menacing incident Friday morning.

A DCSO report said at 8:15 a.m. a caller said the 25-year old was having mental health issues and was in some sort of psychosis. The caller man said the man ripped her off the bed by her foot and was trying to assault other family members in the 100 block of Mountain View Avenue.

Another person claimed the suspect picked up a skateboard and came at her with it held over his head as if he was going to hit her. The caller said she was in fear of serious physical injury or death during the altercation.

The suspect was taken into custody and charged with menacing and harassment. He was detained without bail.
