MAN JAILED FOR RESTRAINING ORDER VIOLATION ON FRIDAY

December 28, 2022 3:00 a.m.

A Roseburg man was jailed for a restraining order violation by the Roseburg Police early on Christmas Eve.

An RPD report said just after 4:20 a.m. the 39-year old allegedly threw items against the side of a victim’s house in the 1700 block of Northwest Eden Street. The report said the suspect did this because a female victim was inside. Despite the resident having a restraining order against the suspect, the man’s excuse was that he can throw items from over 150 feet away, which is the distance mandated in the restraining order.

He was still charged with the violation and taken into custody. He was released on Tuesday.
