The Citizen Review Board is seeking additional volunteers in Douglas, Coos and Curry counties.
A release from the State of Oregon Judicial Department said the board is a statewide program where trained community volunteers review how kids and families in foster care are doing. Each county has one or more boards, and each board meets once a month to take a look at Child Welfare cases and help ensure kids are safe, supported, and moving toward permanent homes.
The volunteers don’t make legal decisions but provide thoughtful recommendations, so that nothing falls through the cracks.
