Deputies jailed a man following a hit and incident on Monday afternoon.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 1:30 p.m. a pickup driven by 39-year-old Keith Dixon allegedly hit the back of a semi-truck turning west onto Happy Valley Road off Old Highway 99S. This caused the pickup to slide across all lanes and land onto the opposite shoulder of the roadway.

Dixon then reportedly fled the area on a skateboard, heading westbound on Happy Valley Road. Deputies located and arrested the man near Carnes Road. Dixon was charged with failure to perform the duties of a driver, reckless driving, and resisting arrest. He was detained without bail.
