Troopers with Oregon State Police jailed one person and cited one person following a traffic stop on Monday afternoon.

An Oregon State Police report said just before 12:30 p.m. a vehicle was stopped for multiple traffic violations near the intersection of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard and Northeast Jackson Street, because the operator was driving with a misdemeanor suspended license.

The report said the driver and a female passenger switched seats as the traffic stop was initiated. Both subjects were found to have warrants for their arrest. The driver, a 30-year-old Sutherlin man, was detained for a failure to appear warrant out of Sutherlin Municipal Court. Bail was set at $5,000. He was cited and released for three other warrants. The passenger was released on a failure to appear warrant out of Sutherlin Municipal Court.
