Roseburg Police jailed a man Monday following a reported prior disturbance.

An RPD report said on Sunday, 31-year-old Chase Richey and a victim were allegedly involved in the incident at a residence in the 100 block of Sunshine Road. The victim sustained multiple injuries after Richey reportedly punched and kicked her while in the presence of minor children. Richey also allegedly threatened to kill the victim and the children and broke the woman’s phone, then stole a separate phone to prevent the victim from calling police.

Richey was charged with four-degree assault, menacing, second degree counts of theft and criminal mischief and for interference with making a report. He was detained without bail.
