A local dry cleaning transportation business in downtown Roseburg will be moving next door and not closing as earlier announced.

Ferb’s Dry Cleaning dry store said in late August that they would be closing in the first part of December, along with their co-owned business Tuck’s Place – Pottery Painting Studio. They are located at 509 Southeast Jackson Street, with the dry store accessible from Southeast Main Street. Ferb’s accepts clothing to be dry cleaned, and transports it to a Eugene area dry cleaner, then returns items to Roseburg for customers to pick up.

Ferb’s owner Tonya Ferber told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that she has sold the dry cleaning transportation business to Jamie Maneha, the owner of Chic Boutique and Day Spa, which is just south of her business on Southeast Jackson Street.

In a post shared on the social media sites of both businesses, Ferber said the ownership change will be effective on December 1st. Customers will be able to pick up their dry cleaning Wednesday through Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday’s from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Clothing drop offs will be able to be made seven days a week during normal business hours at Chic Boutique and Day Spa.

Maneha told KQEN that she is excited to expand their services to her customers that already purchase suits, bridal gowns and formal wear from her shop. Maneha said three years ago her store purchased the remainder of the inventory from Tuxedo Warehouse, along with alternations equipment. She said she is grateful for the opportunity to expand to a growing customer base.

Ferber said she is excited that the dry cleaning transportation business will continue to be offered in Roseburg. Roseburg’s last full-service dry cleaning business – Ken’s Dry Cleaners, closed in 2021 after being in operation since 1956. Ferb’s transportation business opened in June of 2023.
