The Roseburg VA is encouraging enrolled veterans to get vaccinated this flu season.
A VA release said that now is the time for veterans to get their flu shot and protect themselves, their families, and their communities. The VA said as flu season approaches, vaccination is the most effective way to prevent illness and keep the Roseburg VA community strong. Vaccines are accessible, free, and convenient for all enrolled veterans, with multiple flu clinics across their facilities and no appointment necessary.
Roseburg VA will have a-drive-up flu clinic this Saturday, September 19th, and on October 3rd and 17th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday clinics will be held September 23rd and 30th and October 7th from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Clinics will also be held at VA locations in Eugene, North Bend, and Brookings as well.
Veterans can also get a free influenza or COVID-19 vaccine at an in-network Community Care location, such as a participating urgent care provider or retail pharmacy. There is no cost or copay for visits solely for these vaccines. For assistance with in-network vaccines, call 877-881-7618.
