CHI Mercy Health – Mercy Foundation is inviting the community to join law enforcement, firefighters and EMTS – the local heroes – as they challenge each other supporting Douglas County Child Abuse Prevention and Human Trafficking Initiatives this Thursday evening from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

A Mercy release said first responders will act as wait staff at restaurants and food trucks in a number of locations around the county – including Roseburg, Glide, Myrtle Creek, Sutherlin and Winston. They will accept tips which will go toward preventing child abuse.

Mercy Foundation Violence Prevention Program Coordinator Marion Pearson said, ‘This event offers a wonderful opportunity to have fun while supporting our community and a vital cause alongside local heroes. I am deeply grateful to the participating restaurants and heroes for this event”.
