The Roseburg City Council will consider a number of department items as part of its meeting Monday night.

Councilors will vote on a proposal by Roseburg Disposal to increase their rates by eight percent. The company’s last rate adjustment was in 2023. If approved, the increase would go into effect at the start of 2027.

The council will consider authorizing a professional services contract with Cameron McCarthy for development of the Stewart Park Master Plan Update for a cost not to exceed just over $279,000. Phase 1 on the master plan was completed in December of 2025. Staff say the current master plan is more than 25 years old and needs to be updated. The master plan development will be paid for with a little over $154,000 from the park improvement fund, and a $125,000 grant from the Oregon Community Foundation.

Councilors will consider directing staff to submit the city’s identified top five legislative priorities to the League of Oregon Cities board.

The council will receive information on how the City of Grants Pass has responded to the issue of the homeless.
