One driver was taken to the hospital after a three-vehicle crash on Thursday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 11:30 a.m. officers responded to the accident at a business in the 2400 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. An SUV had reportedly left the roadway and collided with two other vehicles in the drive through of Del Taco. The driver, a 73-year-old man had a medical emergency which led the vehicle to leaving the roadway, going over the sidewalk and then colliding with second vehicle. That vehicle was forced backward and hit a third vehicle.

The first two drivers were both transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for their injuries. Both of their vehicles were towed from the scene. The third vehicle was operable, and the man did not need medical attention.
