Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged disorderly conduct incident on Friday night.

An RPD report said just after 8:00 p.m. officers contacted 51-year-old Travis Maples after he allegedly tried to get into several vehicles near a business in the 2400 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. Upon contact, officers learned that Maples had reportedly taken money out of the tip jar at the business and then had thrown sour cream all over the sidewalk. He was taken into custody without issue. Maples was charged with first-degree theft, second-degree disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal mischief. Bail was set at $2,500.
