A hit and run incident that occurred in the Lookinglass area on Sunday afternoon is under investigation.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 12:45 p.m. a victim said a 41-year-old transient had driven her vehicle into his vehicle, which was parked in the 1900 block of Dairy Loop Road. The suspect then allegedly fled the area in an unknown direction. An independent witness reportedly observed the same woman driving her vehicle through the front yard of another home nearby, slamming her brakes as she drove at the second vehicle, before hitting it.

The report said the suspect had been asked to move off the property and had left sometime the previous weekend. A clear set of skid marks were observed leading from the gate of the property going directly towards the first vehicle which was damaged.
