A deputy with the Coos County Sheriff’s Office arrested a woman driving a golf cart on Friday afternoon.

A CCSO release said just after 3:50 p.m. the deputy was near the intersection of Libby Lane and Crown Point Road when he observed a purple and pink golf cart traveling westbound on Libby Lane.

A traffic stop was conducted and the 72-year-old driver stated that she was on her way to Charleston. However, dispatch advised the woman had a valid warrant for her arrest out of Florence, Oregon.

The golf cart driver was transported to the Coos County Jail.
