Roseburg had the third hottest day of 2026 on Monday, but cooler and more seasonal weather is ahead for the rest of the week.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the mercury got to 97 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. That was just under highs of 98 and 99 degrees reached on multiple days this summer. It was just shy of the record high for August 24th, which was 100 degrees, set in 2025.
Forecasters said Roseburg should be near 90 degrees Tuesday, before dropping to the mid 80’s on Wednesday and low 80s Thursday and Friday as upper-level low pressure moves into the Pacific Northwest. Weekend temperatures should be between 80 and the low 80s, which is slightly below normal for this part of August. Forecasters said no more hot days in the 90’s are expected for the near future.
