ROSEBURG EXPECTING HOTTEST DAY IN FORESEEABLE FUTURE

Roseburg is expecting the hottest day in the foreseeable future and one of the hottest days of 2026 so far on Thursday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that a high in the mid 90’s is expected. Both Medford and Grants Pass are forecast to have afternoon highs of around 100 degrees. Roseburg’s hottest day of the year has been 99 degrees, which was achieved earlier this month and also in mid-June.

Forecasters said a new weather system will move into the area on Friday dropping afternoon highs by around 10 degrees and bringing increased wind. There is a slight chance of thunderstorms in eastern Douglas County on Friday. Even cooler weather is expected for the weekend with highs in the low 80’s.
