A Eugene woman was jailed following a reported DUII and reckless driving incident on Friday night.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said shortly after 11:30 p.m. a caller told dispatch that 40-year-old Darcy Miller was in her vehicle ramming another vehicle in the 100 block of Bear Creek Road in the Curtin area. A deputy arrived on the scene and witnessed the vehicle involved backing out of the driveway. The deputy activated the overhead lights on his patrol vehicle and the other vehicle stopped. The deputy could hear children inside the vehicle screaming and crying.

The deputy asked Miller to step out of the vehicle and detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person. Miller admitted to drinking and reportedly performed poorly on standard field sobriety tests. She was placed into custody. The deputy observed that the second vehicle in the driveway had rear end damage and Miller’s vehicle had damage to the front bumper. The owner of the damaged vehicle did not wish to pursue charges.

Miller was taken to jail where she reportedly provided a blood alcohol sample of 0.11 percent. She was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants, and two counts of recklessly endangering another person. Miller was detained without bail. The Department of Human Services was notified regarding her children.
