In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

Tickets are now on sale for the Umpqua Actors Community Theatre production of The Cuckoo Clock.

A synopsis said the production is a heartfelt and poignant exploration of family bonds, loss, and the complexities of growing up amid adversity. The play centers on Ethel, a weary grandmother in her sixties, raising her troubled fifteen-year-old grandson Mark. The story is filled with themes of love, regret, and the scars left by a troubled past

The Cuckoo Clock will premiere on June 4th at 5:30 p.m. It will be the first time the play has ever been performed for the public. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be offered as the cast and writer/director walk the red carpet, answer questions, and chat with the audience before the opening night performance at 7:00 p.m.

Performances will continue Thursday through Saturday nights at 7:00 p.m. with Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m. through June 21st. Tickets are $17 for adults.
