Nearly 29 percent of ballots have been returned for the 2026 Douglas County May Primary Election.
County Clerk Daniel Loomis said 28.9 percent, or 26,086 ballots had been turned in as of late Monday afternoon. Loomis said that is 1.1 percent ahead of the participation rate for the same point in the 2022 May Primary Election.
Ballots must be cast no later than 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in order to be counted. There are 15 official ballot drop sites located around the county. For a list of locations, go to: https://www.douglascountyor.gov/179/Official-Drop-Site-Locations
