Roseburg Police jailed a woman following a reported theft incident on Saturday night.

An RPD report said just after 7:00 p.m. a victim said her phone had possibly been stolen from the restrooms at Stewart Park in the 200 block of Northwest Stewart Park Drive. The woman tracked the phone to a nearby location where officers responded and contacted a 36-year-old. She denied taking the phone, however when officers called the phone it rang two feet from where she was sitting.

The woman was taken into custody and transported to corrections. She was charged with second-degree theft and a parole violation. Bail was set at $6,250. The woman was released on Sunday.
