After 42 years in business, Gilberto’s Mexican Restaurant has announced the permanent closure of the business. A social media post said that Gilberto Duarte Sr. will be embarking on a well-deserved retirement, with his son, Gilbert Jr. by his side. The announcement said, “Thank you for your support over the years”. While earlier planning to stay open until May 15th, this Sunday – Mother’s Day – is now the last day for restaurant, located at 1347 Northeast Stephens Street, according to Gilbert Jr.
