Roseburg Police cited a man for prohibited camping and littering in or near waterways on Tuesday morning.

An RPD report said at 5:00 a.m. officers contacted the 45-year-old underneath the bridge at the intersection of Northeast Stephens Street and Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard. Officers learned the man had been cited four time previously for prohibited camping. Officers observed that the man’s tent had trash strewn about the slope underneath the bridge. Due to the amount of trash and with the camp not following the time, place and manner guidelines, the man was given a citation before being released.
