The City of Roseburg and Urban Renewal Agency Budget Committee meeting is scheduled for Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m.

A city release said meetings may continue on Thursday and on May 12th, if needed, until the budget is adopted.

The Budget Committee is comprised of all eight city council members and eight members of the community. After a chair and vice-chair are elected, City Manager Nikki Messenger will present the budget message. Staff will then make presentations on different categories of the budget.

The proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year is just over $124 million. The proposed Urban Renewal Agency budget is just over $14.5 million.

Citizens can comment on the proposals in three ways:

*In person during the meeting

*Virtually during the meeting. Contact the city recorder via email: info@roseburgor.gov by 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday to get a link to the meeting.

*Via email by 12:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting. Include name, address and phone number within the email.

The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the council chambers. It can be seen on the city’s Facebook page or viewed later at: https://roseburgor.gov/
