In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

Local community members and special guests will share their latest production with ‘Divas Las Vegas’, at Centerstage Theatre in the Whipple Fine Arts Center on the Umpqua Community College campus Friday through Sunday.

A release from Umpqua Movement Arts Collaboration said it will be a fun, high-energy show with nostalgic elements of the golden era of Las Vegas.

The show features over a dozen acts to create evocative sense of the big stage Las Vegas shows from the 20th century with loads of contemporary tunes to keep today’s audience entertained. UMAC Creative Director Summer Fry said. “From the very beginning, this show felt like a sure bet”. Fry said, “The energy and sparkle of Las Vegas inspired so much creativity from our UMAC community and beyond”. The show has almost 40 dancers taking the stage, some for their very first time.
