Low pressure off the Oregon coast is moving south, leading to the slight chance of showers and thundershowers in the Umpqua Valley from late Friday through Monday,
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the greatest potential for moisture is from late Sunday until Monday.
Highs in the Umpqua Valley will be in the upper 70s Thursday, then cool to the lower 70s for Friday and Saturday. High pressure to the north will warm things up for Sunday with a high temperature of around 80 degrees, possibly warming even more depending on where the high pressure is centered.
The mercury reached 72 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport on Wednesday. That is above the normal high temperature of 67 degrees for this part of April.
