HIGH PRESSURE IN UMPQUA VALLEY THROUGH FRIDAY

April 29, 2026 4:00 a.m.

High pressure in the Umpqua Valley through Friday will lead to warming temperatures but a shift in conditions is expected from late Sunday to early next week.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that highs will be near 70 Wednesday and in the upper 70s Thursday, possibly getting to 80 degrees. Friday and Saturday will be in the low to mid 70s. Sunday is forecast to touch at least 80 degrees before low pressure offshore moving into the region, leads to a chance of showers from late Sunday through early next week.

The mercury reached 67 degrees on Tuesday at the Roseburg Regional Airport. That is equal to the normal high temperature for this week in April.
