Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged prior disturbance on Tuesday night.
An RPD report said at 8:20 p.m. officers responded to the 1300 block of Northwest Gove Street and talked with a victim who disclosed that she and a 31-year-old had gotten into a physical disturbance at their residence. The victim claimed that the two had been arguing and at one point the man had put her on his shoulders and lifted her up to a spinning ceiling fan.
One of the blades allegedly hit the victim in the left temple, causing a goose egg and a laceration that bled for multiple hours after the incident. The man said the entire incident was an accident.
He was charged with fourth-degree assault and recklessly endangering another person. Bail was set at $12,500.
