The Pacific Power Foundation has announced 115 grants supporting safety and wellness.
A release from the utility said throughout Oregon, Washington, and California, there are dedicated organizations working tirelessly to support their neighbors and provide essential services when they need it most. The foundation has awarded 115 grants totaling $344,002.
The grants will support a variety of programs, including those that provide meals for individuals experiencing food insecurity, offer shelter for the unhoused and facilitate healthcare for underserved communities.
Pacific Power President and Foundation Director Ryan Flynn, said, “These organizations play a vital role in helping address the urgent needs of individuals and families across the region”. Flynn said, “This funding by the foundation will help amplify their efforts to support our neighbors and improve the day-to-day lives of people in all parts of our communities”.
The Pacific Power Foundations Safety and Wellness grant cycle is one of four cycles throughout the year. In Douglas County, funds have been awarded to:
*Camp Millenium
*North Umpqua Holiday Food and Gift Program
*YMCA of Douglas County.
