One driver was injured when a vehicle hit a flatbed trailer that was on the freeway on Thursday morning.
An Oregon State Police report said just before 10:30 a.m. a pickup was traveling southbound in the Roberts Mountain area when the flatbed trailer it was towing came off the hitch. The trailer hit the concrete barrier and came to rest in the left lane of travel. An SUV was traveling in the left lane approaching the trailer, when the vehicles in front of it braked abruptly to avoid hitting the trailer.
The operator of the SUV braked and lost control as she tried to avoid a collision. The SUV struck the right barrier, causing it to overturn. The vehicle came to rest on its driver’s side facing a westerly direction. The driver sustained minor injuries. Her vehicle was towed from the scene.
