Roseburg Police cited a man for littering and camping on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 11:20 a.m. a 70-year-old was found with his camp burrowed into the brush in the nature area of the duck pond in the 1000 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard. The camp was about 15 feet from Newton Creek. Camping is never allowed at this location, and the man had been contacted camping at the location multiple times but had one prior conviction. The man had trash around the outside of his tent.

The man was cited and released on scene for depositing trash within 100 yards of a waterway and for a violation count of prohibited camping.
