AUDUBON SOCIETY AND LIBRARY HOST TUFTED PUFFIN TALK

April 15, 2026 3:20 a.m.

The Umpqua Audubon Society and the Roseburg Public Library invite the public to “Oregon’s Tufted Puffins”, presented by Katherine Luscher of the National Audubon Society at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 29th.

The free program will be offered in person only at the library on Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard.

The Audubon Society says the Pacific Northwest’s tufted puffins are experiencing a dramatic decline. Luscher is the National Audubon Society’s tufted puffin conservation coordinator. She will discuss a new collaborative effort that seeks to halt the decline of the iconic seabird. From population monitoring to habitat assessments, learn what is being planned by key players throughout the region.
