LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM BRINGING SHOWERS THROUGH WEDNESDAY

A low-pressure system moving into the Umpqua Valley from the south will bring showers and a cool down in afternoon high temperatures through Wednesday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the most rain is expected on Saturday. Friday should see a quarter to a third of an inch of rain with Saturday forecast to receive up to a half inch of moisture. Sunday only a tenth to a quarter of an inch of rain is expected. By Sunday high temperatures will be below normal with highs only in the 50s through Wednesday.

The mercury reached 76 degrees on Thursday at the Roseburg Regional Airport.
