Roseburg Police cited two people for prohibited camping on Monday.

An RPD report said at 11:50 a.m. officers contacted a 36-year-old woman and 33-year-old man at their camp which was set up along the bank of the South Umpqua River in Riverside Park, in the 400 block of Southeast Spruce Street.

The camp consisted of one large tent and one small tent only 10 feet from the river. The woman was cited for a criminal count of the charge and man was cited for a violation count. They were released after the citations were issued.
