HIGH PRESSURE LEADING TO ABOVE NORMAL HIGH TEMPERATURES THROUGH FRIDAY

High pressure in the region is leading to afternoon high temperatures that will be well above normal through Friday in the Umpqua Valley.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that Monday should be much like Sunday, with a high in the upper 70s expected. Afternoon temperatures will hover around 70 degrees Tuesday through Friday. That is approximately 10 degrees above the normal highs for this time of year. By this weekend, high temperatures will cool to around seasonal norms with a chance of a few showers.

Sunday the mercury reached 81 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. That was the second hottest day so far for 2026.
