The City of Roseburg will have an Easter Egg Drop event on Saturday.
A city release said children aged 10 and under are invited to join in the second annual event, and get their photos taken with the Easter Bunny on the day before Easter. The first 400 kids to arrive can win candy or other small prizes for each colored egg they collect – plus enter a drawing to win one of several golden eggs to be exchanged for a special gift basket.
Roseburg Parks and Recreation is teaming up with the Roseburg Fire Department again this year to offer the free, family-friendly event at 9:00 a.m. in Fir Grove Park, behind the Umpqua Valley Arts Center on West Harvard Avenue. Aviva Health is the sponsor of the Easter Egg Drop.
Kids will be challenged to collect one small plastic egg of each color to exchange for candy or another prize at a booth staffed by Roseburg Parks, Roseburg Fire and community groups like Cascade Community Credit Union, Umpqua Valley Arts and the YMCA of Douglas County.
For more information about the event, contact Parks and Recreation at 492-6899 or: parks@roseburgor.gov.
