A Roseburg man was jailed on the charges of first-degree burglary and harassment following incident Sunday morning.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said shortly after 6:15 a.m. a deputy responded to the 5000 block of Grange Road in the Green District after a disturbance was called in. A victim reported that the 21-year-old who she knew had entered the house and pinned her to the bed, as well as covering her mouth to stop her from screaming. A witness said he had gone to the victim’s door and saw the man on top of her. He picked the suspect up and pushed him out the front door.
The man was contacted later. He admitted to being at the residence but denied ever going inside or having physical contact with the victim. The man was taken into custody and detained without bail.
