ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR ALLEGED DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged disorderly conduct incident on Saturday morning.

An RPD report said just after 8:10 a.m. officers contacted 52-year-old Michael Rushing near the intersection of Northeast Stephens Street and Northeast Newton Creek Drive. RPD had received multiple calls about Rushing creating a disturbance in the parking lot of a nearby store. The man had left the property when officers arrived and reportedly had thrown several pieces of trash into the roadway as he left. His parole officer authorized a detainer. The man was taken into custody without incident.

He was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct, offensive littering and a parole violation. Bail was set at $3,750.
