After months of anticipation, the grand opening of the Roseburg Tractor Supply store will take place on Saturday.
The largest rural retailer in the United States, which has operated for more than 85 years, opened its third store in Douglas County last week. It is in North Roseburg Plaza on Northeast Stephens Street. The others are in Sutherlin and Myrtle Creek.
The grand opening celebration will run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Douglas County 4-H will be on site along with a face painter. Free coffee, cookies and donuts will be available while supplies last.
Tractor Supply operates over 2,400 stores in 49 states. By the end of this year, company officials said there will be 20 Tractor Supply locations in Oregon. Others coming soon include stores in Redmond, Hillsboro, Bend, Hermiston, and Medford.
The Roseburg location is in a building previously occupied by Big Lots. Tractor Supply is in the process of turning 18 former Big Lots stores into Tractor Supply stores around the country.
Tractor Supply in Roseburg is open Mondays through Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday hours are 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
