Roseburg Police jailed a fugitive early Wednesday morning.

An RPD report said on March 16th, officers attempted a traffic stop on the 48-year-old after he committed a violation on a bicycle. The man fled from the scene and officers could not contact him.

Wednesday at 1:30 a.m. officers again tried to stop the man while he was riding his bicycle in the 2100 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. The suspect fled again. An officer deployed a taser and was able to stop the man who was still on his bicycle.

The man was found to have four active warrants for his arrest. He also reportedly had a small amount of methamphetamine in his possession. The man was transported to corrections. Bail was set at $12,100.
