Frost is possible early Thursday and Friday in the Umpqua Valley with a wide swing between early morning and afternoon temperatures.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that this is another example of the unusual weather seen in recent months. Overnight lows near the freezing mark are expected both mornings, with the potential for some rural areas to see even colder temperatures. Afternoon highs will be near normal on Thursday but will be around 10 degrees above normal for a few days, starting on Friday – reaching to near 70 degrees.
