Wednesday April 1st is National Walking Day and Thrive Umpqua has a special event happening next week.

Celebrate National Walking Day at Ford’s Pond in Sutherlin on Wednesday, April 1st beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Organizers will lead the 2-mile walk around the pond, which is suitable for all ability levels. Light snacks will be provided while supplies last. Participants will have the opportunity to win a gift card as well. The event is held in partnership with the UC-VEG Wednesday walkers. The Walking Day event will take place either rain or shine.
