Roseburg Police charged a man with fourth-degree felony assault following an alleged incident on Saturday night.
An RPD report said at 10:20 p.m. officers responded to a residence in the 2400 block of West Harvard Avenue. A victim reported a physical altercation and stated that 46-year-old Joshua Graham became upset after she accepted an Instagram follow from an ex. Graham allegedly grabbed the victim by the hair, threw her onto the floor and struck her several times with an opened and closed fist. The victim said she kicked the man several times in defense.
The woman reported that a juvenile was in the home at the time of the assault and had witnessed some of it. The victim had visible injuries from the assault including a large golf ball sized lump on her temple and bruises to her face and neck.
Officers contacted Graham later. He admitted to the argument but denied that a physical altercation had taken place. After requesting an attorney, Graham was detained without bail.
