Roseburg Public Library’s In-N-Out Burger reading program is back for a third year.
A city release said local youth ages 4 through 12 are invited to read books for burgers through April 18th.
The reading log is available to download on the library’s website at: www.roseburgpubliclibrary.org. Logs are also available at the library’s front desk. School groups can email at: library@roseburgor.gov and library staff will work through the details with a designated adult.
Logs allow youth to track their reading in one of two ways – by the number of books or minutes they read, or that their parents or caregivers read to them. When youngsters read for five hours – 300 minutes – they are eligible for a gift card for a free hamburger or cheeseburger at In-N-Out.
Kids can read and earn up to three burgers for their efforts. A Roseburg Public Library card is not required.
Each time a milestone is reached, stop by the library’s front desk. Library staff or volunteers distribute gift cards, track the number of children participating and log the number of books or minutes read.
