Winston Police jailed a man following an elude incident on Thursday night.

A WPD report said at approximately 8:15 p.m. an officer attempted a traffic stop on a speeding motorcycle near the intersection of Highway 42 and Carnes Road in the Green District. The vehicle failed to yield, resulting in a pursuit that ended at a residence on Harry Valley Road.

The suspect, identified as 18-year-old Riley Hoffman, was charged with attempting to elude a police officer, reckless driving and three counts of recklessly endangering another person. Hoffman was detained without bail.
