ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR WARRANT, POSSESSION OF METHAMPETAMINE

Roseburg Police jailed a man for a warrant and for drug possession early Friday morning.

An RPD report said at 3:40 a.m. officers contacted the 56-year-old outside an establishment in the 200 block of Northeast Jackson Street. They learned he had an active warrant for his arrest. The man was taken into custody without incident. During a search of his person, officers allegedly located 9.4 grams of methamphetamine.

The man was charged with the warrant and for unlawful possession of methamphetamine. He was detained on $1,250 bail.
