Roseburg Police jailed a man for a bench warrant on Wednesday afternoon.

An RPD report said at 4:50 p.m. officers contacted the 54-year-old in the 1400 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard where a caller said the man was sleeping on the property. Officers found that the man had the active bench warrant out of Douglas County Justice Court for failure to appear. The warrant was confirmed and the man was taken into custody. Bail was set at $2,500. The man was released from custody later in the day.
