Roseburg tied the record high temperature for the date on Tuesday and had the second hottest day of 2026 so far.
Forecasters with the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the mercury reached 78 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. That tied the record high for March 17th, which was set in 1947. The high was just below the hottest day of the year to this point, which was Monday when the mercury hit 80 degrees.
Roseburg is forecast to tie the record high for the date again on Wednesday with an afternoon high of 80 degrees expected. The record high for March 18th was set in 2024.
Highs are slated to be in the upper 70s on Thursday and cool to the low 70s by Friday. By the weekend, high temperatures are forecast to be slightly below the seasonal norms, with the mid to upper 50s expected.
