HIGH PRESSURE LEADING TO AFTERNOON HIGHS WELL ABOVE NORMAL THROUGH FRIDAY

High pressure building into the region will lead to afternoon high temperatures well above normal in the Umpqua Valley through Friday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the Roseburg area will have high temperatures in the low to mid-70s. The normal highs for this time of year, as measured at the Roseburg Regional Airport, are in the upper 50s. The mercury is expected to remain below the record highs for this week, which are between 78 and 81 degrees. Cooler highs are forecast to resume on Saturday.
